| This new cuvée, was made in quite important quantitie for
it's first release. This cuvee is somewhere the daughter of the cuvee "Les Merrelies" who helps me to understand how to make an adapted ageing to my wines from Séguret. . I was thinking about making this new cuvée since a long time. I had to wait because I didn't had enough space for the barrels into my winery, and also because I wanted to increase my knowledge about the ageing of the wines from Séguret before making a large cuvee. Because I know better the great potential of the terroir in Séguret, this cuvée was becoming important. This cuvée is made with the same blend of grapes varieties as the "Les Merrelies" cuvee (70% Black Grenache and 20% Syrah, then Mourvedre, Cinsault, and old Carignan for the last 10%). This cuvée is aged in new and old barrels (Burgundy shape) during 12 months in order to soften the tanins and give more complexity to the wine. . The botteling has been made using the Séguret's new bottle. |
